Kangaroo Island Oats are 100% Kowari oat variety and all grains are grown on Kangaroo Island, Australia. Kowari is a new local oat variety that has been developed with increased levels of beta glucan to help reduce blood cholesterol re-absorption. Kowari has been developed by the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) as part of the National Oat Breeding Program.

The key features of Kowari are improved B-glucan content of 5.2% compared to 4.4% Mitika variety. Kowari have high levels of protein and excellent grain quality.
